Job Title

Kiln Loader / Unloader IIAs a Kiln Loader / Unloader, you will be responsible for loading product onto the correct refractory prior to firing in the kiln.

You will also unload fired product from kiln cars in accordance with work instructions and transport product to the next steps of the manufacturing process.

You will work within a team environment to meet departmental goals and maintain work area cleanliness.

Roles and Responsibilities :

• Load product onto refractory for kiln firing, unload product, and transport product to next process following production work order specifications.
• Inspect refractory for damage or wear and replace when needed.
• Build load designs based on product requirements.
• Inspect parts to determine if product meets quality and customer specifications.
• Stack and / or transport product via hand-truck, pallet jacks, forklift, crane, hoist, or other appropriate method.
• Clean work area, machines, tools, and equipment.
• Train incoming kiln loader on standard operating processes and procedures.
• Wear required personal protective equipment at all times in areas where mandatory.

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, but not necessary.

Experience :

No experience necessary.

• Ability to understand and act on verbal and written instructions.
• Basic math (addition, subtraction) and computer skills.
• Ability to identify product that does / does not meet quality standards.
• Must exhibit attention to detail as well as excellent listening skills.
• Must be able to work with a diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds.

Target Hiring Range

Hourly : USD 18.39 - USD 22.16
